After having the fun experience of dealing with many dominican contractors to construct my home and learning that most contractors play games with all foreigners, where would I post a warning to newbies about several unscrupulous ones in the Cabarete/Sosua area?

I recently spoke to a lawyer in Cabarete to represent me for an alguacil appearance. He assessed my clothes and spanish speaking ability and quoted me the price of "100 US Dollars." Is this a fair price for a drive to Puerta Plata and a court proceeding or is this gringo fee?
