    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

Wow, I’m blown away by the amount of developments in that area. It’s such a shame that I’ve completely turned away from that part of the capital believing that “everything cool” was in the Districto National and under the assumption that all of that side of the Capital was just to unsafe to...

    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

I’m literally always in Santiago, all over the place and I can say that it’s way way cleaner than the Capital… Im from NYC so shopping, malls and things of that nature are most definitely NOT what I’m looking in a Caribbean Country. I have Soho, Madison Ave and more choices than I can count on...

    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

I don’t doubt that, it’s a growing city but we are comparing the 2 cities overall, not just the traffic. I do know that the traffic is insanely worst in Santo Domingo and that’s a fact!

    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

Well, not everyone goes to the beach everyday. Some people (including myself) come or live in DR for many reasons. Lifestyle, culture, exploring the countryside, different pueblos, the mountains, rivers and waterfalls, food, friends, family, etc etc…. A beach town or the beach is only one part...

    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

Agree 1000 percent!! Some folk act like driving 45 mins to a beach is a long commute. Santiago is my choice and has been for many years. The Capital is way to stressful for me, I go overnight and can’t wait to get on that highway, stop to eat at Jacaranda or if I wanna spend a little more...

Yea, I missed that “coast” part and noticed it after my reply…. I was referring to the North part of the island. Tried to delete my reply but it was to late… my mistake!

    SANTO DOMINGO vs SANTIAGO

I’m sure this has been covered in the past. Just looking for updated points of view. Im team Santiago… The calmer lifestyle, less traffic, the cleanliness, the air quality and the overall vibe. What are your thoughts guys.

Not sure what you had to eat but the times I’ve been there I truly enjoyed my meals, the Deserts and the service. I guess it’s all objective. My overall experience was good, I won’t say it’s the best but definitely not “average “ in my opinion.

Not true. I’m always in the north of the country and I love it. ( not talking about Puerto Plata or Sosua) Jarabacoa is absolutely beautiful and has some great restaurants, Bonao, La Vega, Salcedo, Tenares, Macorís and of course Santiago have wonderful places to eat and visit and the people are...
