Where do folks recommend changing dollars to pesos these days. Not a significantly large amount but I would like to get a top exchange rate.

When I search for "exchange rate" in thread titles I get a lot of results but none of the search results show recent activity in the threads. Maybe it is showing the thread creation date. Which thread are people referring me to and where is it located so I can find the correct one? TIA

found the sticky in the living section. but nothing posted more recently than July. It appears that Caribe express, the place next to Super Pola or maybe western union are the places to focus on.

CaribeExpress next to Super Pola gives about the best rates in Sosua. There might be a cambio that will beat them by 0.1 pesos, but unless it's a large amount, it won't make much difference. For example on $1000(USD, CAD, or EUR), you're only looking at 100 pesos more.

The OP is in Sosua and I'm assuming that's where he wants to change money(?). There's only one CaribeExpress there.

I went today the S. Pola Caribe Express. My cedula was all the ID they required. Had to wait in a bit of a line to get in but other than that pretty painless. $RD 58.0 to the dollar.

I like both locations (Super Pola, & Charamicos) with Carib Express . After I did my initial exchange using my passport, all I needed to give them was my drivers licence. They even except my Bermuda Drivers Licence as ID. Western Union is like trying to steal all the gold in Fort Knox. (n)

There is not much difference in the rate all over town. I like Manuel who has a booth inside of Rockies just because he is fun to deal with. The best rates comes from a guy who wanders all over town with pockets full of money, but I can't remember his name. No passport needed with those guys.
