HOTEL OR BB, OVERNIGHT, NEAR LAS AMERICAS INT AIRP

Could anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced hotel or Bed and Breakfast not too far from the Santo Domingo's Las Americas International Airport. Our family of four must stay overnight prior to making a connecting flight the next day. We arrive late so close proximity to the airport is preferred. Thank you.

Sosua is only about five mi. from the airport and there are lots of hotels there. It is also a great place to spend a last night in the DR. It will make you want to return. You can have a taxi pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport for a very reasonable price.

Unless they moved Las Americas Airport to POP, Sosua is one heck of a distance. Try a hotel in Boca Chica it is only 10 minutes from Las Americas (Santo Domingo)

You'll find everything at www.BocaChicaBeach.net. Expect a room to run $25-40/night. If you don't care about the beach, try Label, which is right off the highway, and has a pool, restaurant, bar, and a nice little courtyard.

Boca Chica is the closest tourist area to the airport, about 10 minutes by Taxi.

Las Americas is in the other side of the Island. Your best bet from Las Americas is to get a place in Boca Chica or Santo Domingo both approx 10 to 15 min from the airport. See the Boca Chica Hotels Web Site for hotel rates.
