    Question Regresar ?

I tend to use "regresar" all the times to mean "come back", but I also heard the verb "volver" or "devolver" while in DR. Are they just synonyms ?
I just can t grasp the difference between volver and devolverse in that context...
    Thanks!

    Regresar and volver are interchangeable.

Devolver means to return something, like to a store or someone.

I also want to add that..

Regresar in DR is always about a place. In other LA countries I've heard it used when returning something where as DR would use devolver.

Volver can be used as regresar and it is also used as come back gain, or do something again.

ex. Voy a regresar a Republica Dominicana. Volvere a viajar por JetBlue.

PS. you probably HAVE heard DEVUELVETE! meaning... come back. It is used more like 'turn back around' ex. Esta no es la calle, devuelvete! This is not the street turn around! BUT the word devolver itself means to return something.

Indeed, Maravilla,That s exactly what I heard Maravilla (DEVUELVETE).
Thanks for the clarification. I know it is basic spanish, but sometimes I want to understand the subtle differences.
