decent place to stay in POP

can anyone suggest any decent hotels/ apartments
in puerto plata area (ie cofresi, costambar,malecon, pl dorada etc)

I am not asking for much.....2 main concerns...must be away from drug dealers and prostitution :(

I would prefer a kitchenette, but if there's meals included or supermarket close by I will be happy with either.

looking to be close to beach as possible :eek:

Great apartment

Yes, I know of a very nice 2 bedroom apartment,available March through November.... nice area , about 7 minutes from Malecon and beach.
