I see that the Sanctuary Cap Cana and Golden Bear Lodge are all inclusive resorts. Does that mean that only those that are resort guests may eat at the restaurants and use the beach/pools?

One of the best things about my stay at Sanctuary last year was that I could travel around to the other resorts and the marina to eat, walk around, and use the beach (particularly the beach at Caleton, which is fantastic).

Any info. about how Cap Cana is dealing with the all inclusives would be helpful. Seems like they are sort of taking away from the appeal of Cap Cana - the ability to travel around the property and sample the variety at the other resorts, etc.

Thanks!

According to the concierge at Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana the public can still dine at the restaurants and visit the casino but need to make a reservation first on 809 544 4343. I guess a restaurant patron could also use the pools.

Caleton Beach Club is still open to the public and resort guests (but not part of their all inclusive package).
I don't know when you were last here but a few of the businesses in the Marina have since closed. Club Acqua Mare, Marrana and Mitre are still open (last time I looked) as is Faith Farallon up on the cliff. Juanillo Beach is also still open to the public.
