If a Dominican Corporation (S.A.) closes operations what is the Dominican law regarding record retention. Specifically, if there is no longer a business there is no longer a place to store records.

Articles 31 to 35 Law 479-08 states that all company's (all modalities whether it is an S. A. or a S.R.L.) operations must be kept in record at the social domicile and in compliance with the principles of the Dominican Institute of Authorized Public Accountants. Bylaws can designate a keeper of records. The records must be kept for a period of ten (10) years either phisically or digitally as long as it complies with current dominican laws regarding digital documents.
