Punta Cana to Galeras?

Hi there,
I am flying into Punta Cana and wanted to travel to Las Galeras . Does anyone know if there are ferries or boats that make that crossing? Maybe from Miches to Samana? Basically, the hope is to avoid traveling first from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo and then from there to Samana. But maybe this is too complicated or expensive?

The ferry leaves early in the am, and not every day the last I was up that way. You have to either find a place to stay or sleep in and leave you car behind.
Easier option would be fly "Takeoff" out of PUJ into El Portillo. Should be no problem working your way to LG from there.
