Saw them at Ocean World a couple of weeks ago. Good show. Worth a visit to Hard Rock if you like what is described by one reviewer as "some say it’s Merengue Alternativo while one of my friends from Slant Magazine says it’s “Latin America’s funky answer to Animal Collective”"... whatever THAT means.

Rita Indiana y los Misterios, the contemporary Dominican sensation of 2009, is back with an unplugged concert at Hard Rock Cafe this coming Thursday, 18 March at 8pm.

Rita Indiana y Los Misterios is being described as one of the best acts to ever come out of the Dominican Republic. Rita Indiana is an acclaimed novelist who had previously collaborated on the now dissolved bands Miti Miti and Casifull.

Although she currently resides in Santo Domingo, she has lived in New York and Puerto Rico for quite some time, which has only enriched her merengue-techno fusion.
