I want to buy a laptop, I did some calculations, and it turns out, that shipping it, alone, will end up costing over $200US, there has to be a cheaper way, this is using Vimenca BTW, what can I do to avoid this, I don't have anyone to bring it for me.

Go check out OmegaTech in JFK Santo Domingo.
They are the largest in the DR and hold a massive inventory.
They have very good prices, latest models and usually have 500+ laptops in stock at any one time.
They also have a HP shop in Acropolis.
