Does anyone know of a good freshwater tropical fish store in Santo Domingo?

Above the Bravo Supermarket on Winston Churchill they have a pet shop with lots of tropical fish. Maybe 10-15 tanks of various fish you can buy, plus all the accessories, tanks etc..

I have no problem with the water temp. I just keep it out of the sun and the water is constantly moving with air bubbles. Thanks for the info about a fish store on Churchill.

Thanks, good to know. I live in NE USA and during the summer months if I don't run the A/C the temperature can reach 80F and higher.

Yes, but when kept in an aquarium the preferred water temperature is 72-78F. If the temperature is constantly above this level it is advisable to use a chiller.

Tanks easily overheat, and your fishes can suffer or even die if their water gets too warm. Aquarium chillers come to the rescue in warm summer months, and offset heat from equipment like pumps and lights.

To SD dwellers - is that place on the Malecon in El Cacique still there? They had some incredible creations, including an armchair made out of fish tanks. They probably did the normal rectangular ones too.
