Where to rent? What to expect?

If and this is a big IF, I were to take a position at a school, e.g. The Ashton School, where would be the best place to look for a long term rental which would accomadate a pet(dog) also. I would need 1-2 bedrooms, living room , kitchen, available laundry services in building, and airconditioning- do not care if just one room is air conditioned, I would like to use my own furnishings but if furnished will do with what is there -just need a bed to begin with.

If you want to live within walking distance of the school, the surrounding areas are Paraiso, Piantini and Urbanizaci?n Fern?ndez. You would need to look around and see for yourself what's on offer. Some streets can be quite noisy. It's a very good part of the city for shopping, eating out and bakeries but there's not much in the way of green areas. The Botanical Gardens are a 10-minute drive away. Actually it's not that far from an area called Seralles where there is a small park.
