Wow, that's less than half what they wanted at one place we stopped at in SD. The apt. we were renting had one of those tiny machines, so we figured we'd use the laundromat - it was $5US for each washing machine, I never even asked about the dryer. I walked out and went home to do the laundry. At the time I told my husband there was no way Dominicans were paying that - I guess they gave us the gringo price.

AE: Somethings are cheaper in Santiago than Santo Domingo, but $5US is too much to use a washing machine...
