hello! I will be traveling to the Dominican Republic at the end of the month. Can someone tell me if there are such things as apart/hotels (furnished apartments for short stays) here? I need it for 5 days only. I don't want to stay at a regular hotel. any ideas??

Don Carlos Hotel has just regular rooms, a little bit junky, but passable, and in the centre of town. Mira Cielo, still in town, but about 5 min. drive into the centre, is much nicer, and has kitchen area, with table, stove, and fridge. I think it is $50/US per night. Don Carlos may be $10 cheaper.
