Its a replica of Taino artifacts and I think it comes from Los Hermanos Guillen, who make and sale this replicas in Yamasa, a municipal of Monte Plata.

I went and bought one in person from them. Here's a pic of it:

Actually, that's called a Behique (aka Witch Doctor). There's a little info floating around, but basically that one is a replica figure inspired by taino artifacts and glyphs.

is it any cheaper to go direct to the factory to buy them? does he make the large ones about 1 meter high?
