Earthquake felt in Santo Domingo at 4:18pm

That is the weirdest thing.
My homemade seismometer just tipped indicating vibration but we felt nothing.
I knew it could not be the wind that tipped it - I thought perhaps an insect had flown into it!
Perhaps it works!!

Felt it here in Juan Dolio

Felt it down here in Juan Dolio. It was a slow rumble (15-20 seconds?) then right near the end I felt my chair move slightly. I looked at the clock and it was 4:18PM.

I have two 9"x12" pictures on an eastern wall that are now hanging slightlycrooked. Pictures on the norhtern wall did not move.

felt it in Punta Cana. 2 or 3 seconds of building swaying and a low rumbling sound. No damage, nothing fell off shelves.

I didn't feel a thing in Santo Domingo and neither did my 2 dogs and those little guys notice everything.
