What is your single biggest frustration about living in the DR, that personally effects you? Something that irks you personally, something that makes your blood boil :)

Let's not get into debates and dialogue here, lets keep it simple and on point.

My biggest frustration? Blackouts.

I know it is cultural, but

The "ma?ana" attitude is beyond frustrating in an office setting!!!

The simple lack of basic education that leads to most all the disgusting things we love to bitch about.

You doing a survey?

I have been offered the job as God, so just getting my "todo" list ready :)

Nope, just curious to how some people answer.

e.g. Trash and poverty however sad, indirectly effects me, it doesn't stop my life going on, but having no electricity, directly effects me. I can live with trash and poverty to some extent, but I find it hard to live with no electricity.

Ok, enough of my chatter... back to the OP :)

A major frustration for me is my own inability to read, understand and speak the Spanish language well enough to be able to deal with the more complicated tasks.

I continue daily to try to learn more but have a rotten memory which doesn't help!!

Dear God, just help me get through another day without going crazy.
You have asked for an impossible task to name just one thing. Amen
P.S., Can you make the oranges a little sweeter?

When I lived there my biggest frustrations were the electricity crisis and the low wages companies likes to pay it's workers.

The electricity crisis didn't affect me as we had a good inverter in our home (Trace 3.6 KW - 8 batteries) but I imagine setting up a small business the amount of money lost buying gas to run the generator.

Driving if I'm in somewhat of a hurry (usually not though).

Lack of responsibility and knowledge when it comes to customer service.

Overall it's still better here. People are friendly and the weather even more so.
