Canadian residents in the Dominican Republic are planning social events in Punta Cana and in Cabarete this year to celebrate Canada Day, July 1st. Everyone is invited to these informal events that will promote traditional Canadian values such at cheap beer and lots of fun.

In Punta Cana, a beach party will be held at the Acqua Beach Club, Bibijagua starting at 2 pm on Thursday July 1st. A sunset catamaran ride and a dinner with live music are also planned. Dress code, of course, is red and white and prizes will be awarded for the best Canadian spirit. More information: yanik.beauregard@pcana.ca

On the north coast, Canadians will enjoy a family beach day to take place on Sunday June 27 starting at noon, hosted by Miro Restaurant located in the heart of Cabarete. Music, karaoke, organized children's activities will be featured and inexpensive hot dogs and burgers will be available, along with Miro's excellent sushi and regular menu. Free bus transportation from Puerto Plata and Sosua is being provided thanks to Turissimo, and a new residents club will be introduced for Canadians living, working and playing in the Dominican Republic.
