I know a while back someone posted a link to fotos of Santiago from the 40s, 50's, 60's and all the way up to today. Anyone remember that link or where to find those fotos? I think maybe it was NALs???

Is this what you mean?

Also this,
The most extensive collection of photos of Santiago or any Dominican place can be found the following forum:

Santiago, Rep?blica Dominicana

These photos have been placed/taken by Dominicans, so there is no strong emphasis on showing the proverbial "other/exotic/different/uncilivilized" image that is often the case when non-Dominicans take photos of the DR. Hence, these photos reflect the city in a much more realistic tone than many of the photos posted by foreigners.

Neat video.

Any idea what those pools are at 0:52?
Can't quite place them.

I love the lonely early model Ford picture, looks much more tranquil. No conchos, I'd like to see that!

Thank you.

This video brings tears to my eyes. My father worked at the Monumento for 32 years. I was born at the site where Montezuna is now. This place was family owned. Now it belongs to my wife's cousin, Dr. Ubaldo Jimenez. He teaches biology at the UCMM. Las tres cruces, my life as a child. Oh, man. I feel like crying. I remember shining shoes to make money to go to El Cine Lama, down Beller Street. Every time I go to Santiago, I must go to this area. It's part of my life. My childhood is here in every corner, every street.
Where Ahi-bar stands, was our play (baseball field). We used to collect metal to sell to la fundicion (fundry) It was hard time back then. I need to stop now before I break up.. Sorry !!!:(
