This video brings tears to my eyes. My father worked at the Monumento for 32 years. I was born at the site where Montezuna is now. This place was family owned. Now it belongs to my wife's cousin, Dr. Ubaldo Jimenez. He teaches biology at the UCMM. Las tres cruces, my life as a child. Oh, man. I feel like crying. I remember shining shoes to make money to go to El Cine Lama, down Beller Street. Every time I go to Santiago, I must go to this area. It's part of my life. My childhood is here in every corner, every street.
Where Ahi-bar stands, was our play (baseball field). We used to collect metal to sell to la fundicion (fundry) It was hard time back then. I need to stop now before I break up.. Sorry !!!
