of Visita Medica en Santiago?
I look at the INFOTEP website and its not in there. It havent looked at PUCMM but I m sure it will not be there. I think it would be something offered at UASD.

And does anyone know what it is? I m thinking more along the lines of visiting nurse but I dont think nursing is a profession here.

Visita Medica? Medical Visits? Sorry no idea what it may be, how ever wiki has this to say: "Visitador m?dico es la persona encargada de visitar los consultorios de los m?dicos de cada especialidad y ofrecerles informaci?n sobre los nuevos productos"

Sounds like a pharm rep to me. PUCMM does not offer that. Their health-science programs are dentistry and medicine (and nursing I think).

Nursing is a profession here, just not a very good one from what I have been told. UTESA has a pharmacology path.

Why are you asking maybe then I could help more?

Enfermeria=Nursing and it is too a profession.

Visitador Medico=someone hired by pharma companies who goes around visiting doctors offices, selling them products. They talk Docs into prescribing and/or using their products, basically.

Dunno where its offered. I think most people get into it because theyre good sellers, not because they went to school for anything.

Need more details because I'm confused as to what info it is you need.

Some place offer short courses on Medical Sales (Visitador M?dico).

It is a profession in sales, requires vehicle, good presentation, and study of the products being offered. It can be very well paid, up in the high five low six figures a month for some of the pharmaceutical companies. These are competitive positions with major companies, not something you just walk in on.

The traditional time for job switching and job hunting is December and January.

hahahaha! Pharma sales. Real descriptive title. I have a friend that said she was studying VM at InfoTep but I didnt see as a course description. Well she has the good presentation down, I dont know about vehicle nor sales experience. She said the program was terminating in August.

I wonder if Viagra o Cialis would go over well here...if it wasnt a $50/pill.

And Nursing in RD is an occupation but not a profession. I have look at the curriculum a few times and no one can become a competent nurse in an average 8 month program. The program at PUCMM may be more formal but there are satellite programs in many municipalities and they dont seem that intensive. I have many friends who are nurses at Corominas and Union Medica and they keep getting these offers for nursing in the US, but when I read the ads they are being offered positions like HHAs or PCAs for old fogeys in private nursing homes. Which offers the same level and time of educational training.
