Is it worth mopping the floor when the water from the tap is muddier than the floor is?

Well, if it may comfort you, we have clear water despite the rain (comes from a mountain spring) but with a few dogs in the house, I am also wondering if its worth mopping the floor ;)

I think this is the most serious question we have had on dr1- i suggest spray polish with a nice rug on the top to catch unwarey visitor off guard

If you don't have a barrel of rainwater for times like this, you can have one delivered and then refilled for a very nominal fee by water trucks if there has not been enough rain to fill it.

Well my water is brown also after the heavy rain and I don?t think that there are that many water trucks in Cabarete

bottellons are pretty cheap about 90 pesos me thinks. you can probably clean your floor 3-4 times with one botellon.

i appreciate all the advice, but i just really wanted someone to tell me it was not worth the effort & to wait until the water cleared up. and i keep hearing dr1 posters are helpful; so much for that ;)

My advice is to put a hold on all cleaning jobs until the rains stops and the water clears. And then wait for an additional 2-3 days, to be on the safe side.

You're right Acira. I retract my appreciation for jr & catcher's responses and shift all my gratitude to you. I somehow missed your prompt and excellent advice. Now, back to not mopping my floor!
