Cable or satellite

Hi, Im new to the North coast and was wondering what is best for english speaking channels (also kids channels), I have seen Claro advertised and ther didnt look that many, as anyone got satellite and found it to be better and who set it up for you.
Also is there only Claro for landlines and internet?
