Can anyone from the DR tell me how easy or not easy it is for an American with licensing/experience/training it is to find employment in a Spa or as a hair stylist?

If there is a job in a Spa or as a Stylist how much can you expect to earn?

Thank you!

most people fail on marketing as customers are constantly changing you need to be attracting new people all the time, which at times dont exist

I will clarify a bit for you. Hairstylists are everywhere. Dominicans go to the salon every week sometimes twice a week. BUT they get a wash and blow out for 100 to 150 RD or 3 to 4 US dollars!!!!

There is a need for North American stylists but in certain areas only. And yes there is a need for staff in Spas etc but be prepared for salary shock! You will not likely earn anywhere close to what you are used to!!!
