I am very unsure I understand your question correctly.

But let me just remind you this:

To be able (permitted) to work legally in the DR you typically only need either;

  • be a Dominican nacional (have Dominican citizenship).
or

  • be a legal resident foreigner (have a valid/current residencia/cedula).
In case of doubt, you migth want to address you legal questions to the LEGAL forum of this board.

Hi,
Sorr for my English it's not perfect..
I go start work in a big hotel...
Need only a Premission to work in the Dominican.
That what see told my in the hotel... When I have this papaer, I get my contract.. So think it's legal.
Been yesterday at the Ministery por trabajo en Jarabaco.
Think I have to go to Santa Domingo there is the main ofice for imigration.

If you are not a legal resident, you cannot get the job because the "paper" you seek will not be given.

You MUST be a LEGAL provisional or permanent resident to work in the DR

Residency will take 4-6 months to get, and will cost $500-$2000 depending how you do it.
