What is the average price for a small one bedroom apartment which includes cable internet water, gas, and electricity in the rent (no A/C), has an inversor and washer/dryer for the whole building in Miraflores---Santo Domingo?

What would be a good price to pay for this apartment?

as a rule most apt. buildings in SD are designed as three bedroom, dominicans think family, so smaller units are rare. there are a few 2 bedroom apts. and very few 1 bedroom apts. that were designed and intended to be 1 bedrooms from the start. you will find a lot that have been "converted" which will have a very weird layout at best. there are some out there, tough to find, and as it is a rare beast the rents will be all over the place, low to high...................

If you have found one in that area (I think it is almost all houses, but someone might have divided off part of their home), then US$600 to $750 a month would probably be about par if it includes everything except A/C. Relatively central location near the Listin offices, and good transportation nearby.

It depends on whether you want furnished or not. Furnished one bedroomed apartments are not that easy to find although they are about, but usually not nice furniture/beds and cheap fridge, cookers and plumbing, all crap.
Don't be worried about looking at the studios, they sometimes are not studios and are a sort of two roomed set up by a stud partition which isn't great but gives an illusion.

The apartment you mention above, furnished and bills inc, guestimate 17-22,000. You won't get unfurnished with bills included.

You could half that if you had your own stuff to move in and were happy to pay the bills.

But you really could pay anything from 4000pesos p/m behind the local colmado, to 45,000pesos p/m by some deluded Italian investor from mars.
