Hi all,

I'm in the market for a budget Sat Nav. Anyone had any experience with this one - ? Are Garmin reputable?

Can you get it for an application for your cell phone? I'm wondering how cheap GPS could affect the fishing industry in the DR.

g.p.s.(global positioning system)

garmin nuvi model 1300 is your way to go.
detailed maps and points of interest for the whole hispaneola island, u.s.a., canada, puerto rico and the virgin islands. its fully loaded with all the toys for under us$200

DR GPS Maps for Garmin

Has anyone purchased this Hispaniola download or card for Garmins?

The Dominican Republic GPS Map Download - GPSTravelMaps.com

We plan to do a lot of driving around for a couple of months, and thought this might help. Hate to spend $80 if it's worthless.

Go to OmegaTech on JFK in Santo Domingo. They are selling fully loaded (Good DR maps) Garmin nuvi model 1300 really cheap. Under US$100.
