Yep, still to be found...if you have the right guy's with you.

Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Whirleybird we were lucky that they dragged us along to a place we would never have found ourselves.

At the Boca The Yasica where the river meets the ocean, after driving for about 20 minutes through sand dunes, not knowing where you end up, you come out of the bushes and there is that desolated beach with only some fisher men on the river and a little restaurant and endless miles of beach with no people on it and where the dogs can run for ever.

Very basic little restaurant, nothing fancy but the most wonderful and tasty grilled fresh catch of the day fish or lobster.

Whirleybird will not forgive me for giving this jem away...oops :bunny:

Sundays at la boca are the best. The place is packed with Dominicans doing what they do on Sunday. Excellent people watching, excellent food, definately a unique adventure.

As people say - a great place for an afternoon - but not for the food.

This place is called "La Boca"? Anyone got a GPS waypoint for this location or at least point the location on Google Earth? Sounds like a good road trip.

I have no idea how its called but its where the Yasica river mounts out in the ocean....La Boca de Yasica?

I can imagine that in the weekend its packed with local Dominican families as its a great place to have a picknick.

We go there during week day's and then its isolated and very quite, great spot for the dogs to run and run, not to worry they bother any body because there is nobody on that beach then.

The food is good, the beer can indeed be a bit colder ;)

I am sure some body can give the GPS coordinates for this place...
