Another question to throw out there.

I am moving to Bavaro soon, being transferred from my job in Mexico however I am in the middle of my orthodontic treatment.

I will need to find a orthodontist who can take over the work I am having done.

Brackets and some cosmetic work.

Any suggestions? I don't mind travelling, but I need a good recommendation.

The dental clinic here in Punta Cana Village has an orthodontist. Probably the one in Cap Cana too. I've also seen signs for an orthodontic clinic up Friusa way in B?varo.

Otherwise I can recommend the one who treated my son when we lived in Santo Domingo.

Wine prices?

I guess I will have to hunt around when I get there.

I have found an Ikea in DR, this has cheered me up after all the depressing supermarket comments.

How about wine - I pay about $5 US for Concha y Toro.

Yes: Chilean wines are in the RD$300+ range (US$8) on the east coast - can be bought for slightly lower prices in Higuey, Romana and SD supermarkets.
