Arrived in Jarabacoa last night, and things were as usual. Dogs started at 1 am, roosters at 3 am, then the Sindico with very loud music started Barrio limpio at the intersection around 100 feet from the house. It was fun to watch around 100 young people wearing the free teeshirts and pretending to clean the streets and as usual 10 or 15 older women and men doing all the work. Best was when my brother in law brought out all the garbage from the back of the house and they stood around it and took pictures like they had just cleaned it up. At least they took it all away.
