I am betting that these are programmed translations, but not quite literate. Notice that editing and proofing are on another page...Probably come out at 10? a word....if you want good translations...That's $100 per 1000 words....nobody in the DR pays that today!!

I ran a check: $40.04 for 320 words proofread . They add 4? a word to proof it....
Not bad work if you can get it....

The main selling point is the speed.

You need a 300 word legal or tech doc translated by an expert in 90 mins, it will cost you US$43.77. Non expert for normal docs, 300 words US$22.

I thought it was a cool idea and is breaking down barriers.
Now anyone can easily get stuff translated fast and at reasonable prices.

I can do that at twice the speed, and I charge a little less than 10c per word.

My point exactly....11? a word is a wee bit steep in today's translation market...

Of course, I have not invested in the latest translation packages--which are not cheap-- but rely on a whole lot of experience....

Highly technical stuff is something else, of course...

I have seen stuff done by "Judicial Translators" that is more gobbledigook than anything...

However, since I have not actually seen their work either edited or non- edited, it is not fair to be too judgemental..

Holy Zombie Thread Batman! Only 10 years old! How does one even find the old threads? Why don't they fade away with age?
