US TV Show "Get Out!" on HDNET

On HDNet, on US cable TV, there is a show called "Get Out!," and they filmed a whole bunch of new shows in the DR in 2010.

I've seen the episodes Punta Goleta, Perla Marina (Puerto Plata), Cabarete, and the newest one, Saona Island. I think I liked that one the best out of them all. I thought it was really cool in the show where the snorkeled in a spot where they could handle live starfish. I'm definitely going to do the tour the next time I go to the DR.

Apparently there are episodes on Sosua, Playa Chiquita, Rio San Juan, and some others coming up which, I don't think, have aired yet.

In the Perla Marina (Puerto Plata) episode they visit Seaworld and take the Catamaran Tour and snorkel off of Sosua Beach. Nice shot of Sosua Beach from the boat.

In the Cabarete epsiode, there is a nice shot of them walking down the beach past Bambu nightclub...deja vu...I think I've seen that place (about a 100 times).... before.....jeje

I have DISH TV back in the States and HDNET is channel 362 on there.

I've recorded all the episodes so far on my DVR. I've never tried it before, but I think I can record from my DVR to a VCR tape. If that is the case, I'll bring you a videotape to watch on your VCR (that is, if you have one). I assume you are still at the Hotel Alegria?

I think I'm going to put the Colombia trip on hold for now and come back to Sosua, DR for a month, from Nov. 15 -- Dec. 13.

I guess I love the tropical climate, weather, ocean and the beaches in the DR too much to go anywhere else for the moment.

According to the HDNET schedule, the Sosua episode will play again on Sat., Oct. 30....they usually show the episode twice, once in the evening before midnight and once after....can't wait to see it!!!

I've recorded the "Get Out!" episodes by filming the TV onto my camcorder, and then onto a DVD. The picture quality is really pretty good because all these shows are in high-def which carries over onto the recording, so not much, if any, is lost.

So if you all are interested, cast your vote now to maybe watch these shows at Rockies somenight....I'll be in Sosua from Nov. 15 to Dec. 14.......
