Does anyone know the rules/fees for CANADIAN Citizens traveling to the DR for 35 days? ;)

When you arrive you will have to buy a tourist card for $10/US at the airport, which is valid for 30 days. You'll see them being sold at a desk before you get on the immigration line.

You may have to pay an additional amount [small] when you leave because you stayed over 30 days.

depends on the airline, westjet, scair canada, transat, and skyservice include the tourist visa in the price of the ticket, there is another airline (can't recall the name) that doesn't include the tourist visa, therefore you would need to buy one here upon arrival

I stayed for 32 days in May and departed from Santo Domingo. Customs looked at my ticket and passport, asked me what the purpose of my stay was and waved me through without having to pay a fee. I guess it all depends.
