How many seasons are there for oranges in the DR?

I was at La Sirena in POP today on an official shopping expedition.

One of the best parts about shopping there is to see what fruit they are turning into fresh juice at any given moment as it seems to fly off the crushed ice display case almost immediately.

If anyone knows what the fruit of the day is please post.

A lot of the oranges made into juice come from Brazil.

Our limons are ripe, the oranges coming into season shortly, and mandarins are plumping up for their Christmas explosion.

The season here is different. I had several mature orange trees in Tampa that were harvested in summer. These are a fall/winter crop.
