I got charged RD$600 on a $6400 balance, so it sounds about right. Banco Popular. But I think its only if you dont pay the bill on time and I was on vacation and missed the payment.
credit cards SHOULD have high interest rates. 100% imo.

Not true. Loansharks are far more honorable. They charge a 1/2% weekly, 1% weekly if they're really gouging you. That's 25-50%, but fairer than Dominican banks.
Naptime, you actually believe people....DOMINICAN PEOPLE will use their CC's less with high interest rates? I don't. I think the poor & uneducated will just get shafted even more.
