We don't have a problem, Google is some how assuming our banner ad serving code is malicious, which it's not. They have been ok with it for months, now in the past couple of days they are flagging it as malware.

Many sites that use OpenX are reporting similar problems with Google.

We are working on trying to get them to fix their automated spider that finds potential malware issues.

Thanks.

Probably you are not aware but your site is actively distributing a very strong virus/spyware Security Tool. Right now I am in the end of a three hour long remote session with a Norton specialist who was able to remove it from my laptop. I got from DR.1 four hours ago. It was cleaned. I resumed working, and when moved to DR.1 got it again.

Just for your information. Somebody is using your site for this malitious purpose.

I watched the remote work being done by Norton specialist on my laptom - A HUGE WORK!! Not for DIY.

Cuidado!!

BTW the Norton expert Anoop P.V. is still remotelly in my laptop, is reading all this and kindly allowed me to share what exactly he did to clean my machine from Security Too - ", I have deleted the infected files from the location C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\7418912262.exe. Now your computer is completely free from virus.
"

Hopefully it might help anyone.

OK. I was in DR.1 reading posts of my beloved distinguished Forum members. I have Norton Internet Security and Lavasoft. In the middle of the session I got a small window in the center of the screen "Security Tool is installed in your computer". And right after that - multiple warnings of the catched Troyans and such. After that 75% of functionality of PC was lost.

I knew that I never installed Security Tool and it is a virus. I wanted to remove the program but got no access to "remove programs"

I wanted to do system restore, but no luck neither. Every ten minutes PC reboots.

Full scan was without success as it was cut every ten minutes. I got the Death blue page.

On my other PC I opened Google about this virus, read lots of horror stories and unsuccessful attempts to DIY and contacted Norton right away. They worked on my PC remotely and I watched. A huge three hour long work was done to save the machine. Not pretty.

After it was done the technician told me to try to work. I checked several site and when got to DR.1 got it again. He was watching it and can prove my words. Second time the job was done faster. My pc with all my works, information and files was rescued. God bless Norton!

I have had two friends catch that stupid virus, both times booting to safe mode (The virus won't let you run security programs) and running malware has removed it

depends how deep it was able to penetrate. on many occasions it does not allow to get into safe mode neither. In my case the machine became responsive in safe mode only. Normal remote-help connection with Norton did not function at all.

when it happened second time with Norton watching it they were able to intercept and remove it very quickly.

Timing is of essence.

I was disabled since 3pm Friday the 15 (Very not funny Friday).

I was working with a technical support person from Microsoft. It took three hours over the phone where she remotely removed the anti-spyware SOB.

Then, when we rebooted, the virus came back.

She had to go because we spent too many hours and told me to call back.

I decided to fight it myself. She had removed almost all of it so I ran my two anti-virus software (Microsoft Essentials and AVG). This removed it but everytime I ran Mozzila it would come back and the MS Essntials would clean. I decided it might be Mozzila and removed the software. Now I am just using Internet Explorer.

Also, DR1 is being blocked by my firewall saying it has malicious software.

I am currently posting in safe mode.

Luckily, there isn't much traffic so moderating is easy. I did not miss much.

The virus is called:

This is what shows up as being removed.

Virtool:Win32/Obfuscator.JL

This is what shows up in the details. Every time a new one was cleaned up the letters and number changeds at the end. ex: ZJNPQB3N\yoawywazbtjl6[1]

file:C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ZJNPQB3N\yoawywazbtjl6[1].exe

Security Tools is the anti-virus program that pops up hoping one would purchase!!!!!!

I have fought these malicious viruses before but this one was a SOB charmer!!!!

Also, I was on DR1 and no other site when I got infected. I did notice that everytime I wanted to edit a post, the hour glass just blinked and I could not edit.

At work yesterday about 4:45PM I had just finished most of my important tasks for the week (thank god) and I clicked on the thread about "making love vs. having sex. I am not sure how it happened but all of a sudden some kind of new "security tool" popped up and took over my work computer and wiped it out. It was like some kind of bad E-std!

The Russian IT guy Slava chastised me for watching porn at work but I swore up and down it was just a website about DR. I'll have to get him some Marlboros on Monday to patch things up with Slava so he can try to restore my computer.

I do not think is mere coincedence that so many are having the same issues. ChrisNJ and I got zapped with the same Security Tools malware.

Something is definitely wrong.

Santiago DR
I was having all the problems that were mentioned in previous posts. One hour ago the problem still existed. I haven't done anything deciding to wait it out for awhile, now everything is back to normal. Apparently Robert pushed all the right buttons.
Good job Robert........

The Aholes who did this need to be taken out back and shot. I've been trying to get rid of this for several hours now. It blocks Webroot and I can't get Superantispyware to load. And this crap started popping up on my screen when I was on this site. Any other suggestions?
