In my folk healing practice, here in Las Lomas de Azua, the guanabana tree is part of my pharmacopoeia. I have growing in my premises guanabana trees planted by my great uncle Jos? Beltr?, a legendary folk healer in this region. The part of the tree that has the strongest anticancer properties is the bark.

I am a scientist. Do you mean the pharmaceutical companies, so they can patent it? ; )

Good on you.

They all though Tesla was nuts with his AC electricity.

They are only just starting to realise that Goethe had better ideas about the nature of light than Newton.

It was a weatherman who discovered chaos.

And they still do not know how aspirin works.

And they still do not know how aspirin works.

Here you go PC......;)

How Does Aspirin Work?

Stop Those Prostaglandins

Wherever cells are damaged, causing pain, chemicals are made, some of which are called prostaglandins. They help make the nerves fire signals to the brain that cause the sensation of pain. Although there are other chemicals that contribute to pain, aspirin targets prostaglandins. It goes through the bloodstream to stop the body from producing prostaglandins.

Binds to Enzyme

*The active chemical in aspirin is called acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). To block prostaglandin from being made, ASA joins with an enzyme in the body called cylooxygenase-2 (often called COX-2). COX-2 makes prostaglandins. When the aspirin binds to COX-2, the enzyme cannot make prostaglandins. This also tells the damaged area to release fluid that can cause inflammation. Both of these actions help cut down the body's feelings of pain.

Finding Where to Go

When the digestive system absorbs aspirin, it is distributed throughout the blood inside of the body. COX-2 is released by cells to make prostaglandins only where there is injury, inflammation or pain. This is one reason why long-term aspirin use can lead to bad side effects like ulcers because the aspirin goes everywhere and not just the areas in pain.

*My favorite part...

Oh and just to save you the trouble, yes Einstein, Galoise and Poincare saw glimpses of chaos.... even Newton with his 3 bodies problem - but that does not count.
Why?

Look it up.

Research carried out in the Caribbean has suggested a connection between consumption of soursop and atypical forms of Parkinson's disease due to the very high concentration of annonacin.[3][4][5][6]

According to Cancer Research UK, annona muricata is an active principle in an unlicensed herbal remedy marketed under the brand name Triamazon.[7] It is not licensed for medicinal use and the sale of the product resulted in a conviction on four counts of selling unlicensed medical products, and other charges, for the vendor.[8]

I would ill advise anyone from hacking off a piece of guanabana bark, grinding it, and preparing an infusion. The preparation of any herbal natural remedy usually requires following a specific protocol, including time of harvest, preparation, and dosage. Natural herbal remedies should be followed only in a case by case basis, and using plants that belong to the healer.

I only posted that information so people would be aware and would do the research themselves.
I know about the research on annonacin it was used on rats not humans there is a difference for example some of the common pain killers we use will kill a dog or cat.
For every negative research you can find you will find ten positive.
I don't suggest that people go eat a tree but do some research

I love guanabana fruit, keep the tree I?ll take the fruit.:squareeye

My autistic sister-in-law, who is in charge of collecting the firewood from the surrounding wilderness, brought home yesterday a huge guanabana, which was not from one of my trees, and proceeded to prepare a delicious 'champola', which we all drank and wanted more. : )
