I thought that I seen something about a new fitness center on the beach in Cabarete. Tried to find the thread, had no luck. Is there one? If so what do they charge and does it have high tech equipment? Where exactly is it located?

Sosua Casino has a gym on the 4th floor: Platinum Gym. 150 pesos/1 day or 1,000 pesos/month. That's where I work out at in Sosua. And it's the only air-conditioned gym in town. They are closed from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m Mon-Fri. Not sure when they open in the morning, but they close at 9:00 p.m.
Saturday I think they are only open until 3:00.
It's the nicest gym I've seen on the North Coast, with all new equipment.

The Gold's Gym at Sosua Ocean Village is nice, with all new equipment, but their prices are REEdiculous.....like $12 U.S./day and $300/month.....

Gold's Gym costs 2,500 pesos per month only the gym and with special classes and the use of all outside swimming pools/terraces 3,600 pesos per month.
I find the price OK for what you get.
Nevertheless i find the Platinum Gym very beautiful too.
Both Gyms are unique! I like them both!

This is my gym, also.

Saturday closing is 1 pm.

Weekdays, they open at 8 am, or possibly before; Saturday I think they open at 9 am. Originally Saturday was 8-12, but that was changed to 9-1 and still is, as far as I know. Saturday closing is definitely 1 pm.

Pasqual is the trainer.

The gym also has too squash/racquetball courts.
