I have 2 questions, that should probably be in different threads, but I'm just going to lump into 1 here....

1) Do flights on West Jet include both the departure tax and the tourist card (upon re-entry)? Is the only way to find out to call the airline?

2) Since the residency fees have gone up 20% suddenly, will this also affect the fee for over staying the tourist card? At the time I fly out, I will have been here just a few days shy of a year, so the fee (according to the last posted chart) will be 2500pesos... What website can I check to ensure that the fees have not changed? Money is extremely tight, and any increase would be a very nasty and unpleasant surprise.

De 30 dias a 3 meses 800.00 -
De 3 meses a 9 meses 1,000.00 -
De 9 meses a 1 a?o 2,500.00 -
De 1 a?o a 1 a?o y 6 meses 4,000.00 -
De 1 a?o y medio a 2 a?os 5,000.00 -
De 2 a?os a 2 a?os y 6 meses 6,500.00 -
De 2 a?os y medio a 3 a?os 9,000.00 -
De 2 a?os a 5 a?os 14,000.00 -
De 5 a?os en adelante 17,000.00 -

Thanks for your help.

WestJet flights include both the $10 Tourist Card AND the $20 Departure tax in their return flight ticket price. As far as the overstay tax, those figures you posted seem accurate. Tight as things may be, you should always have some extra cash on you for "just in case" expenses.

Thanks! Glad to hear it's the same. It's all put away and ready to hand over to the airport official.
