Currency??? US$ or PESO

don't buy pesos in the airport, don't care if it's MIA. JFK. gatwick, you'll get a better deal from a santo domingo taxi driver. dollars will get you from the airport to the hotel, don't make change in the hotel. look for a "casa de cambio" = house of change, much better rate, it can mean the difference of hundreds of dollars, depending what your plans are.............for example, in Kennedy airport pesos are 27 to the dollar, in SD you can get 37. on a three thousand dollar exchange that's an airplane ticket......

like the guy above just said, change at a cambio. much better rate i just got change yesterday for 37.15 per $1.
