    What is melao?

    Is it just a watered down melaza?

    You picked my curiosity. It appears that they're different. Melao is the juice of the sugar cane mixed with calcium oxide, while melazas are the part of the sugar cane that doesn't crystalize. Sorry this page is in Spanish.
