Doesn't the RD have any Christmas Carols? The nearest I have ever heard is Feliz Navidad, which appears to have to be shouted to unidentifiable music, no additional words and an jumble of words to the tune of Jingle Bells. I got quite fed up until I remembered www.bbc.co.uk/carols/radio shropshire/carols in the square. What a delicious dose of nostalgia, sing along and sheer pleasure.

Thanks Chirimoya but aunty Nancy didn't quite tickle my fancy, all the songs sounded much the same to me! My wife did recognise one as having something to do with Christmas but when I said I'd never heard it she replied " of course not, here in Las Terrenas you never hear anything except loud merengue and bachiata".

Most of the versions I found on YouTube were by Puerto Rican singers, but maybe someone can come up with a better Dominican example.
