Want to give my BFF a great trip to JD D.R.

My Bff since 6th grade (we are now in our 40s) has not had a break since her son was born 17 yrs ago. I have FFMiles to burn and I will be taking her to Juan Dolio in September for her Birthday it will be an extended weekend. I want to make it the best trip ever for her as far as relaxation and veiwing the beauty of the D.R. We would like to go to the Casino, Beach, Juan Dolio or Guyyacannes(sp sorry) I would like to treat her to a day spa or message, and I would like to take her on a nice night out on the town that would show her the Dominican Culture. Any suggestions??

I was thinking of El_Sueno resturant and then maybe walking up to the Chocolate bar. Is my memory correct are they both in Old Juan Dolio??

Should we take a taxi or rent a car?

Ok here are a few hints. Not sure where you are staying but best beach in front of Costa de Sol apartments, but would mean lying on the sand!

Try el Pescador in Guayacanes, has sun beds and is open all day, so you could do beach and then have fresh shrimp and lobster for lunch.

Best Casino is at Costa Caribe hotel, and they have a new spa there too, which is good. Its a long walk from there to Chocolate bar, and things are a tad quiet in JD atm as the hotels near to Chocolate are closed.

For a fab dinner try Deli Suisse in Guayacanes, expensive but worth it, but go early as he closes early.

If you are there on a Monday Guilias cafe used to have live music and that is usually fun, but worth checking if it is still on.
