Orphanages in or near Puerto Plata or Sosua

Hello out there. Does anyone know the name and address and/or phone number of any orphanage in the Puerto Plata or Sosua area? I will be travelling to Peurto Plata on 4/13 with some kids clothes. Thanks,

You have two options in Puerto Plata:

Fundaci?n Luisa Ortega. Tel. 809 586-2783 (ask for Sor Soledad, the mother superior).

Hogar Escuela Martina Alfonseca. Call Tel. 809 586-2525, ask for Mrs. Finke.

There is a small (12/13 Children) orphanage in Puerto Rico Apie which is about 1 1/2 hours to the East of Sosua. I don't know how far you are traveling while you are there, but if you go to the East, that is a possibility. Once you get to Puerto Rico Apie (very small) anyone will be able to show you the orphanage. It is right on the main highway right on the river.
