Newbies to region........ local forecast is not promissing, showing rain all 7 days, yet reports indicate not to be turned off as this is normal for the caribean.... can anyone support this?

do these frequent rains come in and come out of the area providing SUN on the beach or should we bring rain slickers and be prepared for the worst?

thanks alot, appreciate any insight!

appreciate any feedback............. weather network paints a pretty bleek outlook

we only had one other question posted about exchange rates as we use an international currency convertor for business here that shows US to Peso 1$= 12.37 pesos, yet local DR reports 1 US $ = over 36 pesos? how can there be such a difference - maybe we're not smoking enough weed? L!

The other conversion info may be for the Mexican Peso. Our peso sits around 37 to 1.

Weather - online weather reports will show rain even when there is a chance it will rain somewhere for 20 minutes..... You can be having a rain shower and 5 miles away there is nothing. Vice versa.

Just come down, pack sunscreen and a small collapsable umbrella. You will have a great time.
