Visas for haitians to DR

For a sixty day visa that's only valid for one entry it's 90 dollarsUS for a one-year multiple entry visa its 210 dollars US. Not really that expensive I think that's why i wonder why so many Haitians insist on going illegally.

IF they have documentation to apply for the visa then yes the legal way is better but how many have those?

And many others don't pay these fees they cross in other ways.

Haitians construction workers make RD $ 250. a day, I'm talking about non specialist... Some Skilled Haitians for ex; ceramic tile installer makes a lot more than that.

I was referring to Haitians living in Haiti. My understanding is many are not making US 50 a month.

Yes, I'm pretty sure most Haitian immigrants to DR don't afford to pay the visa fees.
