After interviewing several dentists (all in Santiago) I chose Dr. Oscar Morel. I needed two extractions, two implants and to have my sinuses lifted so the implants would not interfere. I found him to be very knowledgeable - gave me the same diagnosis that my dentists in the US did, his offices were impeccable, he took me on time each time; spent 3 hours in surgery yesterday having these procedures. Left with an icepack on my cheek and as of now, no swelling, no bruising, not to say it's not sore, tender, uncomfortable, all expected. i go back on the 17th to have my sutures out, then wait for the healing about 3-4 months and then permanent caps, etc. He had trouble with his credit card machine, so I haven't even paid yet - that would never happen in the States!
Oh and it was about US$6,000 less than I was quoted in the States.
He speaks English, is right across the street from the Metro Station (I come from Sosua) and I highly recommend him.
