I am looking for a foot doctor in santiago. Any recommendations? I was told to go to Union Medical and see a general doctor and they would refer me to a specialist. That seems like a waste of money to me. Thanks for the help.

How much should a gringo expect to pay to a G.P. or internist for general consultation ( NO physical examination) without any kind of medical insurance policy ?

Union Medica female internist , 9th floor

A Union Medica female internist charged me 1 000 pesos for general consultation (NO physical examination).

I knew I was being taken advantage of as a gringo but had to grin and bear it as I failed to discuss fees beforehand.

Guys, even medical and dental professionals will charge gringos more if you put yourself in a difficult negotiating position.

Always enquire about fees BEFORE !
