Can (and how) could the DR mother of a young child (fathered by a Canadian) obtain nominal child support from the estate of the father who died upon his return to Canada? The estate is not co-operating. The child is his via paternity test.
Please advise, Thank you.

You need to talk to a Canadian lawyer. Which province is the estate located in? You can check with the provincial bar association to select a lawyer that can inform you of your rights in this matter. Probably wouldn't hurt to contact the Dominican Embassy or Consulate in Canada... they might be able to help as well.
