The faster and easiest way from POP (airport) is to take a cab. It'll cost you $200 one way.

If you're not arriving in POP but staying in Puerto Plata, then there is a bus that leaves at 6:30am every day to Samana: Transportes Papagayo. I believe you can take it right in front of the hospital. You'll need to get off in Sanchez and take a local bus or cab to Las Terrenas.

If you go to the publico taxi stand in Sosua, you could get a private publico taxi to Samana for about $120 US.....:chinese:

There is a one time a day gagua from PP to Las Terrenas.
If you arrive in the morning it is possible to take gaguas along the coast.
Trying to get in direction 'Nagua'.
Gaguas tend to connect in each town up to Nagua.
At Nagua ask moto - concho to take you to Gagua Sanchez/Samana.
At Sanchez you need turn off to Las Terrenas.
Gaguas / minibuses do the run Sanchez / Las Terrenas.
Keep change - most runs are 50 - 80 pesos.
At the gagua stop in Nagua for the gaguas to Sanchez there is good cool beer.
Allow 250 pesos per person for the trip - more if you have luggage as they may charge you for an extra seat.
